MT4 Platforms for Mac

While a Mac OS version of the MetaTrader 4 platform is not planned, there are a number of ways to run the Microsoft Windows based program on your Mac.

Since Apple transitioned to Intel processors it has become very easy to run Windows applications on a Mac. To see some of the commercially available software which allows you to install the Windows operating system on your Mac please visit Windows on a Mac on the Apple Store website.
Wine is a free software that allows users of the Unix-based systems to run an application developed for Microsoft Windows. MetaQuotes recommends the use of Wine for installation on Mac OS. Please note that Wine is not a fully stable application and some functions may not work properly.

In order to start installation, drag and drop the Wine icon onto the Applications icon. As soon as the installation is complete, you will be able to run Microsoft Windows executable files in the Mac OS system. Next, either download the MetaTrader 4 installation file mt4.setup.exe or copy the entire folder of a Client Terminal previously installed on a Microsoft Windows system.
